The Spring Classics are not all about the Monuments!
In tribute to the Belgian second tier classics, we present the Sourland Semi-Classic (SSC), a ca 64 mile ride that explores the Sourland Region of Central New Jersey. It will offer a gentle way to prepare for the main spring events. There is much more excellent riding to be had in the Sourlands; the SSC is our attempt to showcase it. Of course there will be some unpaved roads to go with the famous Sourland climbs and flats.
In tribute to the Northern European Spring Classics join us for the Annual Hell of Hunterdon, a 82 mile Spring Classic themed ride in Central NJ. The challenging course features 19 sections of dirt, gravel, and hardscrabble roads as it winds through scenic farmland and country towns in New Jersey’s Sourlands. Medium & Short courses will also be available.
A “Spring Classic” for those who don’t like riding on dirt roads! The Fleche Buffoon is a tribute to the Ardennes Classics (Fleche Wallone, Amstel Gold Race & Liege-Bastogne-Liege). The challenging course features multiple steep climbs over its route. Along the way there will be miles of country roads, scenic farmland and quaint river towns. In true fashion, there is even an authentic Dutch windmill.
¡Ay Carranza! Over the years, we’ve received several requests to organize a gravel ride in the New Jersey Pine Barrens. We knew we could develop a fun and fast course, but the timing wasn’t right. A few years ago, when we began working with the Pinelands Preservation Alliance (PPA) on their annual Tour de Pines, we knew the time was finally right. The ride starts at PPA’s headquarters at a preserved farm in Southampton, NJ and travels through some hidden regions of the Pine Barrens, including past the Carranza Memorial. Carranza? Captain Emilio Carranza was the “Lindbergh of Mexico”, whose plane crashed in 1928 in a remote section of the Pine Barrens during a goodwill mission.
Bucks Gravel, formerly the Fools Classic, is a challenging mixed surface ride. We think it our most scenic route, and the long course is probably the most challenging of all the rides we organize. Bucks County is one of the 3 original counties of PA. Due to Upper Bucks County’s rural nature, there are many unsealed roads of dirt and gravel, lending perfectly to a gravel ride adjacent to the densely populated Mid-Atlantic corridor. Gravel enthusiasts will not be disappointed!
We’ve partnered with the Pinelands Preservation Alliance to co-organize their annual Tour de Pines, a series of 4 rides in New Jersey’s famous Pine Barrens. These rides are self-supported, but we’ve done a lot of leg work, so you’ll receive all the information you need to ride these routes on your own.
Remember, remember, the Fifth of November
Gunpowder treason and plot
I see no reason why gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot…
Join us for an afternoon ride followed by an evening with pints around the firepits of Bucks County Brewery.
