New to the Fleche Buffoon on Saturday April 26th is Short Rd, a steep climb that spans Fleecy Dale Rd. and Toll Gate Rd.
Though only a third of a mile long, it gains over 165' of elevation, yielding an average of 9 percent, but you won't be thinking about that average on the steeper ramps. You might think it is not short enough.
Though only a fraction of its length, it is a climb that reminds us of the wall that is known as the Côte de Stockeu on the Liege-Bastogne-Liege course. If you know, you know... Unlike the Stockeu, there isn't a statue of Eddy Merckx near the summit.
Speaking of short, you are short on time to pre-register, which closes tonight.
