Coronavirus Protocols & Policies

Reducing Risk at Events

Kermesse Sport is committed to providing safe and fun bicycle ride opportunities.  Under the COVID-19 pandemic, we will strictly adhere to the guidance of the World Health Organization (WHO) Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and the prevailing Health Departments where the events we organize take place.

Following guidance and best practices of these health organizations, USA Cycling and other organizations, we’ve developed the following policies and plans to mitigate the risks of exposure to COVID-19 at our events and rides.

These are in place to help us protect the health of our participants and the communities the events take place in.  They also enable us to organize the event (to meet requirements we must operate under).  The policies will be updated over time, in accordance with our ability to comply with changes in official guidance and rules.

Compliance with the latest policies is mandatory for all of our participants.  If you can’t or won’t comply with them, we request you do not enter the events, until conditions make these policies no longer necessary

Mask Policy as of 2/24/22

The CDC, NJ, and PA have relaxed their mask wearing requirements for fully vaccinated people.

Under these guidelines, mask wearing is not required at our events.

Please note that private 3rd party facilities on the courses (such as stores and restaurants) may have their own mask wearing policies. Thus, all individuals must wear masks when

  • requested by the owners of the facilities we use as event venues
  • requested/mandated by stores or other public locations on our courses
  • in a SAG/Broom Wagon, if requested by the vehicle owner, or other passengers

Therefore, we suggest all participants carry a mask with them in a resealable plastic bag.

Pre-Event Screening as of 06/02/2022

Pre-Event Self Screening
On the morning of the ride, prior to leaving home, please ask yourself the following questions

  1. Do I feel ill today?
  2. Is my body temperature above 100 degrees F?
  3. In the past 72 hours have I experienced any fever, chills, coughs, shortness of breath or any other COVID-19 related symptoms?
  4. In the past 10 days have I had a positive test result for COVID-19?
  5. In the past 5 days have I had close contact with a person who is known to have, or is suspected of having, COVID-19?

Anyone answering yes to any of these questions must stay home; we will refund or credit your entry fee if requested.
